- Being engorged is less like having stones for breasts and more like having breasts filled with golf balls.
- Babies farts can be extremely loud. Especially when enhanced by a thick coating of Vaseline.
- Nasal aspirators are considered evil by infants everywhere.
- Enemy #1 to a clear skinned baby face: Untrimmed baby nails.
- I am in pants limbo. My maternity pants are too big. My regular pants are too small. Must. Resist. Buying. All. New. Pants.
- Knitting while nursing takes talent.
- Snickers has been my go-to nighttime nursing snack. They were on sale last week and now I am faced with a difficult truth: There is such a thing as too many snickers.
- Early on in our marriage, I thought it was hilarious to jump out from dark doorways to scare the pants off Greg. Ever since the Spraying Poop Incident of 2010 Greg has been 10 times as skittish about baby farts while changing diapers as he was about looking around corners. I've never seen him jump so high before.
- Due to a miscommunication we now have 8 million size 1 diapers.
- Being home all day with him is the easiest thing I've ever done.
- Typing one-handed is a skill.
- Going with only 3-4 hours of sleep a day has not yet made me feel like the walking dead.
- Being home all day with him is the hardest thing I've ever done.

You rock Megan! LOL about Greg and the diaper spray.
Crazy but true, cold cabbage leaves for the breasts, and hurts like hell, but you gotta massage that duct open.

I came across this post and was reminded of how you felt when you found out you were having a baby boy. I didn't know if perhaps you wanted to get in on the discussion over there and talk to other women (and encourage them) about it.
Hope things are going smoothly with the new baby!
I hope you're holding up alright! How is the new kitchen working out (or should I ask Greg)? :)
I was thinking you obviously don't have much crafting time at all these days, and I know you really like cupcakes, so I dropped by to share a link I came across that I thought might appeal for Christmas:

Glitter cupcakes! Looks like you need like 10 minutes each, maybe, and they're gorgeous! Anyway, hope you're well!
Hello there lady!
Longtime lurkety-lurker who found your blog from your incredible room makeovers on craftster. I've been following, and enjoying, all your honesty re: pregnancy as well as the tales of your house and other projects. And I just wanted to say, I'm a fan! I hope you're doing well at home with the bubbeleh. Best wishes from a stranger in Michigan. Hope that's not creepy.
Pants? Easy.
I'm on cortisone after having a brain tumor removed, and I blew up to Shatner-sized! I LIVE in $12 Old Navy charcoal-colored yoga pants.... Incredible stretch, they last forever, *extreme* comfort, and they expand & contract beautifully!
Just wash them in cold water and NO DRYER. Ever. Line dry only. If you're looking for tops, get their usual long-sleeved tees, SUPER! I buy the XLarge. Sooo comfy, and in every possible color, they often are on sale for ridiculous, laughably-low prices. And they'll look fab in your pretty-colored studio, not to mention holding up well with Riley. I often layer one of their spaghetti-strap tanks over a tee for a little warmth. That's it - snappy, easy to make art in, and baby-friendly. Plus if you fall asleep, they're just like PJs. I've fallen asleep that way many times since my surgery, and no harm, no foul. ;)
But the yoga pants are the real deal. They're frequently on sale for the $12. I ADORE them!! Get them online once you figure out your size. I found they run true to size, not too big, not too small, so go for it!
